Is there anyway to cross platform these online games so the 360 and PS3 can play online with each other?  it seems like if the games are virtually if not entirely the same it would just make it more popular.
I'm thinking about getting it anyways but there aren't that many PS3 owners as there are 360 due to price and how long the 360's been out but I would want to be able to play with as many different people as possible on a game like this.

lol there's no way MS and Sony would shake hands and let 360 and PS3 players play together.  unless it's a mmorpg like FF11, which is run on S.E.'s private servers anyway. =P    Besides, with the GameTag system it would be too complex and impossible given the isolated nature of each system's networking and community features.

well hopefully Super Turbo HDR's online system doesn't require opening NAT channels,  like the way have I have the ports opened now, I can play HF online on XBLA with no hassle.  but a game like Halo 3 has a lot of NAT issues and forces people to open their router completely to play with some people, also exposing them to more possible viruses and stuff on their PC.

personally, I feel it's impossible to eliminate lag for all players,  people with bad connection will always have poor connection and will lag up a room regardless. And the more people in the room, the bigger the chances that there will be some lag.    anyways in HF I have matches that have no lag at all, and some where it lags due to people's connection.   so it's really something that's nature that comes with online gaming.  They already said Super Turbo has online play that's better than HF so I would be satisfied with performance like that.

But since they delayed to next year (probably Jan, Feb, Mar), I guess they ran into problems and fixing the online to make it better.   I think the real delay was because of adding widescreen and rumors of them trying to get a band to play a new remix version of the music tracks, but that's pretty unnecessary since there's plenty of music for these themes as it is, just adding the original arcade and some arranged soundtrack would be fine.   And they are probably gonna support custom tracks anyways.   And even if not, XBLA lets people play their soundtracks over the existing music audio anyways,  so that's all taken care of.

Hmmmm 6 players in a quarter match, that's pretty cool, people would have to wait for their turn longer but overall it could lead to more fun parties if everyone chats and have a good time.  I guess this also hints that custom Quarter Tokens with your favorite character's picture on them will return.  I love those tokens.  ^_^

Seeing the cell phone video, I'm wondering if they will reconsider allowing Custom Winning Quotes (like being able to edit any of the characters winning quotes).
I mean ESRB wise, all they will do is say "Experience May Change During Online Play", they can't control the communication that goes on during online matches,  it's just a natural part of society.   And along with the bad possibilities of winning quotes, there's also the good and entertaining and creative winning quotes people may come up with.   But yeah, everyone would agree this would be cool, but not essential.

I'm just tossing this up cause there's a big delay now and we won't get to play this game for a really long while.  So I'm guessing while the other devs are working on improving online aspects, the rest of the team might think of other stuff to throw in there besides more music or whatever.

But who knows, maybe if things go on schedule, it may come as early as January 2008.   hey ya know maybe it's also delayed cause they are deciding on what the final HUD/health bars and super bars and timer should appear.
I say they should stick with the original layout and shape of the bars and all, and just make it sharper/cleaner/HD.    But although I miss the portraits during the matches, it's actually a good thing they got removed cause they just take up valuable space, space best available to see the action and enviornment.

yeah cause see, it's kinda messed up the super bars are cutting over their legs/shins like that.  and the health bars should definitely be raised closer to the top of the screen, and made slimmer. oh yeah and the timer should have some color it and font more like the original.  I like how the dimished portion of the health bar is transparent though, that helps reduce the HUD blocking the action.

see looky here

the super bars aren't cutting off their feet.  plus the health bars are slimmer.  and the timer has some personality to it.  :)    but yeah wonder what they'll decide for the final HUD.

oh this just in

Christian Svensson, senior director of research and strategic planning at Capcom, told us that the massive amount of artwork needed for the game is currently slowing down development, but that the additional time will allow the team to fully implement the brand new network code mentioned in our preview.

ohhh so they are still workin' on the artwork.  examining the video, even though the select screen showed everyone it seemed like the London event only allowed choosing Ken and Ryu.  so yeah looks like the rest have yet to be completed.  oh yeah not counting their 9 alternate color costumes too.  yeah I wonder if their original costumes still need the code or you can select them maybe holding Jab if you want the costume but not the "Original" version that doesn't have their super, but has other gamepaly differences.

Anyways I guess they are still working on the new intro too,  and maybe backgrounds, but it's still looking magnificent, so yeah I'm really excited to play this ultimate version of the ultimate fighting game. ^_^

oh hey I was wondering how come the new "Remix mode" isn't listed as one of the features? are they still guessing if it will be added to the released version?  cause they said characters may get new moves and balance differences in that mode.

Any word on the floor warping??
The quality of the video on YouTube was simply too poor to tell.

the 3-D esque floor effects from the past is still in.   I forgot what it's called but they did confirm it's like before.

Saw the new blog post, new screens look great. Though the ripped muscle look though inaccurate looks so much better than the current version Rey talked about.

Cast portrait looks great, are these finalized drawings? Some of the cast look alot more detailed than other, compare EHonda, Balrog, Blanka to Ken, Ryu, vega (claw) or fei long's pics.
