Is Super Puzzle Fighter HD remix still going to be released for PC as it seem that it has come to a standstill as all sources i have been looking at say TBC and they say it will be on Steam but there is no sign of it please has anyone got anymore information as this is annoying.

Even the Capcom staff doesn't appear to know and i find this quite ridiculous.

Thanks for any help

The Capcom staff does know, and as of right now it is not in Production.

Well according to an email they sent me they have no idea

so the question remains is this just going to be abandoned or when will it go into production.

It's a big company, and some people aren't aware of the status. I am, however, pretty aware (as that's a big part of my job).

We would love to do it, but as Sven has mentioned 'the financials have to make sense'. If it does go into production, I will be sure to let the community know.

so are you now saying you have no plans for a PC version?

We would have to get a new budget approved. That has not happened and we're not sure if it's going to make sense financially. For the moment, the SKU is on hold.

in my opinion it would make sense as there are loads of people waiting for this to happen just look at the various sources to see what i am on about

its also not like remaking it it just needs to be ported to the PC which would be a relatively simple process and probably wouldn't take no more than a day for a programmer to do so the financials will be low

thanks

Wow, I can't believe that Capcom thinks that this would make no sense financially. In my opinion you should rather put some other games on hold than this one. I mean, how much work can it be to port this over to PC. And this is really one of the games that just fits perfectly to Steam.

Have you seen the launch of Audiosurf (also a puzzler priced $10) on Steam? This has been a topseller for weeks - far ahead of high profile titles such as Call of Duty 4 and the other stuff on Steam. Maybe put in Steamworks Achievements and Puzzle Fighter HD is guaranteed to be a hit on Steam.

Really disappointing that Capcom doesn't think the same way. I was really looking forward to it.

i agree and think it would be very popular

i am very disappointed about this as it was said that it was going to be done then suddenly they abandon it with no word.
