Hello,
I'm a 4 year customer of the original Shade game. Its a MMWORPG! I can't tell you how much JOY and fun this game has given me! Its really fun to be able to take a break at work and immerse yourself in a little world on your cellphone!
Now for the question. For the last four years many players have been dealing with a little puzzle in Tor. It was told to us that when this puzzle was solved.. The game would advance and we would have new towns, weapons, spells, etc. Many people have had their characters die repeatedly in the hopes of advancing this part of the game.
Over the years, the responses from admin have changed from, "Its there, you just have to solve the puzzle!" to "That puzzle as scrapped, you have a new puzzle now" to "Kill the Displacer Demon and we will advance the game" to "The displacer demon didn't really die" to "The Displacer Demon is unkillable!" to "Just wait for an update".
This thread is not about Shade 2. We heard recently that Shade two will not be ready for the 3/3/08 release date and we're fine with that. We would like to know when we can expect some new items in Shade 1.
Any help is appreciated,
Thik

After being told for years that there is more we have yet to see anything to prove that. We feel we deserve an update and/or a reasonable explanation for why we haven't seen one.

Of course I'll vote New Items!
But you know what they might tell us?
They're already out there, we just have to go look for them, lol. We just don't know HOW to look for them.
Just Saying. :)
It has been years though, hasn't it. :S

Thanks for the replys everyone. This is our game. We have to show Capcom that we love it!
Chaos said that he would update it himself if we couldn't figure it out. I don't know how many years we have to wait tho.
We should find out soon. *fingers crossed*

Hey folks, As we posted over at the Shade board we don’t currently have any news or updates on Shade. http://www.cgshade.com/board/showthread … post120775I realize that various promises and announcements have been made over the years that have not yet been fulfilled. I’d like to apologize for that, and add that we appreciated your ongoing support of the game and the community. However, in order to avoid any further frustration our current policy is to avoid discussing updates until we are certain as to when they will launch. I know that’s not really the answer you’re looking for, but it’s all we can currently provide. Mike

I'm not understanding. The update we are talking about is something that we were told in the beginning was already set to launch. We aren't referring to Shade II, Mike. Chaos told us that if we couldn't figure out the puzzle to the new stuff he had already put into the game, he would go ahead and flip the switch on it. We have been told for years that the new town, spells, and gear was already in the game for us to find. We were told we had to kill a monster to get it. In 2004, this was told to us. I took this to mean that the coding was already done and it just needs to be made "live". When we fullfilled our part of the bargain, this did not happen. Our victory was dismissed as a glitch. The monster was made harder and life went on as usual. So we continued to wait.
The part that got us worried was when we watched that statement dwindle from "Go find it" to "wait for an update".
Our question is... How did this change take place? and what can we do to show Capcom that we are ready for this to happen?
I really appreciate your time in this matter, man. You are really awesome for showing any real interest in us as players and we really want you to know that we noticed that.
Thank You,
Beth

Most of the people that I need to talk to about this issue are incommunicado this week. Lemme circle around with the powers-that-be on Monday, and I'll attempt to glean some additional information.

I don't want to seam ungrateful for the help but that thread you refered us to is about Shade 2. We just want an update on Shade 1.
