With Streets of Rage and TMNT on XBLA, a lot of people are requesting Final Fight 1,2, or 3. We are supposedly going to later get more HD remixes of popular games, and I've heard that Final Fight HD has pretty good chances, so a lot of people are awaiting some kind of Final Fight. I just thought I'd make a thread here for discussion. Although the first FF is probably the favorite, FF2 and 3 have co op, which would be great onlne. I apologize if this isn't the first thread on this topic over here. But FF1, 2, 3, a collection or an HD Remix seem to be in pretty high demand.
I would loooooooove a port or "HD" of this killer classic! It's funny that lilnim mentions streets of rage and ninja turtles because i own those in my library too along with other side scrolling beat 'em ups! On top of that, i would trade all of my side scrolling beat 'em ups on XBLA for a Final Fight download. Here are links to other places on Unity that support Final Fight. I personally would like a nod to the game this year since it is it's 20th Anniversary.
CORPORATE INFORMATION REGARDING FINAL FIGHT: On May 23rd, 2008. Capcom released their lifetime sales report. Final Fight was among the top 10 selling franshises in the Companies history with 3.2 million Units Sold. link: http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/876/876335p1.html A game like 1942 only sold 1.2 million but has had a "remake" as a digital download while Final Fight has not.
CORPORATE INFORMATION REGARDING FINAL FIGHT: Individual Title Sales Final Fight on SNES sold 1,480,000 units in 1990. that's more units sold then these games:
Resident Evil Outbreak - 2003 - PS2 - 1,450,000 units Resident Evil Code Veronica X - 2001 - PS2 - 1,400,000 units Dead Rising - 2006 - XB360 - 1,400,000 units Resident Evil - 2002 - GC - 1,350,000 units Mega man Battle Network 4 - 2003 - GBA - 1,350,000 units Devil May Cry 3 - 2005 - PS2 - 1,300,000 units Resident Evil 0 - 2002 - GC - 1,250,000 units Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition - 2007 - Wii - 1,250,000 units Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles - 2007 - Wii - 1,050,000 units Street Fighter Alpha 3 - 1998 - PS1 - 1,000,000 units
Did you ever play Final Fight? If you did I'm pretty sure you'd have loved it. If you like beat 'em ups this is it at its best.
I ask anyone to play the game even people who do not normally play the beat 'em up games, for example try the GBA title Final Fight One, look me straight in the eye and tell me you do not see great potential in the future, or more specifically at this time for this game. Online, 4 player, parties, friendly gatherings, don't get me started or we will run out of pages.
The new Final Fight project, get it done or hire someone who gets it done, can't find anyone? Even if you have to get someone like Red Virtue and me, just people who show to have the passion, energy, drive and ideas to take it next level. It's money waiting to start rolling. I'd hate Capcom not cashing that check to their accounts on this one.

Hell yeah! Whether it'd be the original version or an HD version I'd so buy FF1, 2, and 3 in a heartbeat!
Having it on the computer is kinda crap, it's not as fun or as engaging.......
Co-op is such a big part of Final Fight for me so I really wanna have it on my ps3.
And for the love of god please release FF2 and 3, I'm tired of getting FF1 ALL THE TIME.
wont be long can i see you baby? wont be long can i see you? wont be long can i see you baby? and i won't be long
wont be long can i see you baby? wont be long can i see? wont be long can i see you baby? and i won't be long, be long, be long, be long, be looong. (and i won't be long be long be long be long be long)
Wow. Thanks for ressurecting this thread RV. And thanks for everyone's support. If we're gonna get FF back on track, we're gonna need all the help we can get.
A Final Fight remix would be AMAZING! But it would have to include all the updated skins from Final Fight Streetwise, and Final Fight One. It should also include the arcade original with online/offline co op.
