First off, I'm mainly talking about the SNES game that is more commonly known as Clock Tower: The First Fear, though it would be nice if the PlayStation game that was released worldwide was also included.

But anywho, for those of you who are unfamiliar with the game, Clock Tower is a survival horror game that seemed to have a lot of attention during its time, but has now become a considerably underrated game of the genre. It was originally made by Human Entertainment, but the rights to the franchise were eventually bought by Capcom, and they ended up making Clock Tower 3 for the PlayStation 2,

The first game, which was and still is Japan-exclusive, recieves a lot of attention from the internet through fan-translated ROMs. It's even Japan-exclusive for the Wii's Virtual Console, even though most Virtual Console games that were previously distrubuted this way, such as Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels and Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, were given North American and European releases as well.

The game stars a teenage orphan named Jennifer Simpson, who has just been adopted from an orphanage along with her friends, Ann, Laura, and Lotte by Mary Barrows. But after Mary and the girls disappear and leave poor Jennifer behind, she finds that there is a lot more to the mansion than the first impression.

SPOILER ALERT!

It turns out that Jennifer is the daughter of a doctor that helped Mary give birth to fraternal twin deformed demon sons, both of which terrorize Jennifer throughout the game, as her father had tried to kill them after they ate his hand. The first and most persistent of the twins is Bobby, also known as Scissorman, named for his signature weapon of giant hedge clippers/scissors. The second is Dan, who is an oversized giant, his extra flesh made of Bobby and Mary's victims. But after Jen supposedly burns Dan to death by accidently lighting him on fire, it is later shown that he has survived, and appears to be a normal boy, a fact later revealed in the PlayStation sequel of the same name.

Knowing how a mother loves their children, Mary is also a constant threat, locking Jen up, or threatening to shoot/stab her. The game's endings can vary depending on your actions, but the canonical ending is where Jennifer herself is the only survivor, and ends up killing both Bobby and Mary.

Spoilers end here.

I'm all in for this. I've played the first 3 games: First fear, Clocktower PS1 and Struggle within but the original two are by far my favorite.

If there is a possible re-release, a remastered edition along with the classic would be fantastic but as I previously hoped for a possible answer in the Ask Capcom section a while back, the only respond I got was that there's no plans or info concerning the franchise yet. That means there's still hope!

I was always interested in the earlier games, so I would definitely get them too. Clock tower 3 was a joke. Also, you should learn how to use the spoilers box.
